About Hand Clamps


Knu-Vise's Manual/Hand-Toggle series clamps are used for a wide variety of applications, including assemblies, fixturing and woodworking. Knu-Vise hand clamps are available in holding capacities from 50-2000 lbs. Designs include: Cam-Action/Hold Down; Double Toggle; Horizontal Handle; Vertical Handle; T-handle and Machine T-slot; Welded-on; and Pull and Push &Pull. Features common to the entire Knu-vise manual clamp lineup follow.

Common Features:
  • Optional bar configuration included: Solid, Open end, Closed

  • Optional straight/side mounting configuration on 100, 200, 400 and 600 series clamps enables mounting on a vertical surface, or when there is no room for a flanged base.

  • Optional swivel base mounting configuration on 800 and 1200 series clamps permits angular location of the toggle bar within 180 degrees. The swivel plate is permanently held in place by installation of two furnished bolts.

  • Dipped or slip-on plastic handles are provided for an easy, solid grip. The handles are orange in color for quick identification.

  • Angular clamping bolt bushing assemblies are available on some models.
Individual Features:
Cam Action
Designed to automatically compensate of variation in thickness of parts to be held, eliminating time-consuming manual readjustments. Cam-Action design resists loosening due to vibration.
Double Toggle
Ideal for around-the-corner clamping applications. Toggle swings away from the work piece upon opening, facilitating easy removal of work piece
Horizontal Handle
Gives a low overhead profile, ideal where overhead space is a consideration. Available in optional stainless steel on some models and optional straight mounting.
Vertical Handle
Most common clamp for easy grip and hold down work pieces. Available in optional stainless steel on some models, Heavy duty models with solid toggle bars are available, and optional flange, straight mount or swivel base mounting available.
T-Handle
T-Handle clamps give a low overhead profile. Available in optional stainless steel on some models.
Machine T-Slot
Black oxidized cast base plated forged parts for corrosion resistance, custom setting provided, and can use with existing locator and T-slot bolt and nuts.
Welded-On
Locate this clamp exactly where you want it and then weld it into place. Ideal for rugged applications such as ship building, steel fabrication and welding. Heavy duty construction for excessive use, welds into place; save and retrieve by cutting off, no measuring, drilling or tapping required, can be actuated by hand or foot pressure, and available with optional copper-plated spindles to help eliminate welding splatter.
